WE RELATE IN the two books of Abū Dāwūd and at-Tirmidhī that Ibn Mas‘ūd 
said that the Messenger of Allah 
said: “Let none of my Companions report to me anything about anyone, because I want to come out to you with my heart at ease.” [1].
