I relate also from ‘Utbī, who said: “I was sitting beside the grave of the Prophet when a bedouin came and said, “Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah. I heard Allah (Most High) say, ‘And if only they had come to you when they had wronged themselves and sought forgiveness from Allah, and the Messenger had sought forgiveness for them, they would assuredly have found Allah Oft-Relenting and Merciful’. ^[18].
