Allāhumma innī a‘ūdhu bika mina-l-jū‘i fa-innahu bi’sa-ḍ-ḍajī‘, wa a‘ūdhu bika mina-l-khiyānati fa-innahā bi’sati-l-biṭānah.
Context
We also relate from them both, with ṣaḥīḥ isnāds, that Abū Hurayrah
reported that the Messenger of Allah
used to say: “O Allah, I seek refuge with You from hunger, for it is an evil bedfellow; and I seek refuge with You from treachery, for it is an evil companion.” [33].
