Raising the hands in du‘ā’ and passing them over the face

WE RELATE FROM the book of at-Tirmidhī that ‘Umar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb Honorific symbol reported that when the Messenger of Allah Honorific symbol raised his hands in du‘ā’ he did not lower them until he had wiped them over his face. [1].
